The old MacAllister Manor is a sizeable fief, nearly a mile wide along the road leading east of Saltmarsh, and some 1200 feet back from the coastal road itself, which comprises one of its borders. It encompasses 150 acres of pasture, forest, arable land and swamp. Due to the hardy nature of the plants, flax, cotton, and hemp are all the normal cash crops of the manor, though the small number of peasants who live there barely put out enough crops to sustain themselves, let alone make money for the fief holders. Because it is largely unused, the fief is considered abandoned, and has reverted to the control of the Council of Saltmarsh. Due to the efforts of the Iron League, a group of adventurers, the manor house itself was cleared of hazards, and a smuggling ring was ousted from the caves below. The council, after receiving a petition from the group, granted the group the fief, but demanded a ship and most of the valuables aboard it as payment for the back taxes due. While on the surface this seemed like extortion (and to a degree it was), that payment formally split the fief from the MacAllistair family's fiefdom. The Iron League recieved the property with no back taxes owed, and no fuedal obligations required in arrears. They gained the small village of Hainsburn Hamlet as part of their fief, although it would require as much of an investment as the rebuilding of the manor itself.

The village was a mess. Three families, some 20 individuals, was all that remained of a village of over a hundred. The Dovecoat was missing its roof and part of one wall, the mill was a wreck, with the waterwheel rotting beneath the surface of the millpond, effectively blocking all water flow which might provide motive power for the mill itself. The Baker's oven was in one piece, but no baker had lived in the hamlet since the death of its previous baker ten years ago. Sharon Castleberry, Henry's mother, had managed to figure out how to bake some bread, but she was far to old to be a proper Baker serving the needs of the League and the village itself. She was taxed with just the three families eking out a living there. Two beehives had gone wild, but they still produced honey enough for the brave children to gather some honey every now and then. Still it wasn't all bad. Arthur Hainsburn was the steward of the manor and had long since mastered the art of the records required by law. Retaining him for the role of Steward was a no-brainer. His wife Rita had quite a bit of skill with cloth, and the adventurers knowing they would need to dress the part of their new position, employed her in that fashion. This took the eldest two people from the village, leaving Arthur's eldest son Tarver as the defacto man in charge. Making him reeve was merely a formality of what the villagers already acccepted. As reeve, he is responsible for the overall general management of the village. As reeve he is under the control of his father, the steward. It is a reeve's responsibility to make sure that villagers complete their labor service on the League's land. The village messor, the village official responsible for the work done in the fields, was the patriarch of one of the other families, James Arteson. Arthur, having made many trips into the city, scouted Henry Castleberry for the group, and suggested him highly for the position of Chamberlain, or head of household servants and budgets. He was an experienced worker who acted as chamberlain for the Lassisters. Obtaining his services would fall to the League itself, but at least he had been found. Arthur told the group that getting him would make the whole process of filling staff that much easier.

Several tasks needed to be done:
The Mill (Water powered Cotton mill and flax thresher, also has a millstone for staple grains) is in ruins, long since decayed beyond usefulness. Stone Foundation, Wood Walls, Wood Roof, Metal bound wood gearing.
6450 gp and 16 days of work.

Dovecote needs doves and repairs 20' Diameter, 20' high, Dirt foundation, wattle and daub walls and thatch roof
100 gp in materials and two days labor - (need 700-1000 doves, cost 2 cp each)

The Iron League
Mortmain:
PCs must declare their Mortmain (the name their shared fief is technically under and whose life the fief's control is measured by)

Fief Size 150 acres (1 mile wide, 1237.5' long)
Arable land: 108 Acres
72 Acres Cultivated (36 Acres fallow)
13 acres of forest
13 acres of pasture
16 acres of unusable swamp land and other "wasted" land.

Village includes 2 beehives, a dovecote, a communal oven, a smith, a carpenter, a mill with millpond
Produces: Cotton, Flax, Hemp, Lumber, and a variety of citrus fruit (lemons, oranges and grapefruit).
Manoral Staff include: Chamberlain, Reeve, Sterward and Tailor, Kitchen Staff, Laborers (beekeepers, foresters, Dovekeepers, cowmen, pigmen, dairymaids, goatmen, ploughmen, gardeners),

The Baker's oven is in working order, but there is no baker (you must find one and get him to come bake in your manor)

Steward: Arthur Hainsburn
Tailor/Seamstress: Rita Hainsburn
Reeve: Tarver Hainsburn (Arthur's eldest son)
Chamberlain: Henry Castleberry
Messor: James Arteson (Responsible for work done in the cotton, flax and hemp fields)
Beekeepers (need 2)
Dovekeepers (need 2)

Livestock: Currently one horse is owned by the Hainsburns and it is shared with the Artesons and the Castleberries. They also have two goats, which provide milk for cheese and butter.

(more to come)

If you mean of the fief - as soon as I make it, yes. If you mean the manor, after we've had a sit down (i'm thinking it can be handled at the disfunctional family get together at Jeff's) and decided where is going to be knocked out, added in, where people are going to be put roomwise, etc, yes - again after I edit it Smile - I'm still working on the original post though. Once I am done with everything, you should have everything you'll need. One thing I will say is you don't have enough money liquid in party to actually finish all the repairs you need to make the place livable, you will need to make deals, broker loans and other such happenings to make it all happen. And of course someone has to actually do all the work, and then there's the functions you're invited to. Short version everyone is going to be busy.
